WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE COST?
Rooms - Rooms at Blowing Rock Conference Center are booked based on the number of beds in the room. Room requests can be made on the registration spreadsheet, but there are only so many rooms of each kind. When you send payment for your registered group, it puts you in line for your room requests which will be filled on a first come first served basis. You will receive your room assignments when you arrive.
Meals- Three meals Saturday, breakfast and dinner Sunday, and breakfast on Monday. Each group will need to plan for Lunch on Sunday.
2. FILL IN THE SPREADSHEET
Type in your group information on the top, and individual participant information (your leader, adult chaperones, and youth) on the bottom. The spreadsheet will calculate your group’s cost.
4. MAIL ONE CHECK TO BLOWING ROCK CONFERENCE CENTER
Send ONE check for your registration fee to Blowing Rock Conference Center with a printed copy of your spreadsheet to:
Blowing Rock Conference Center Attention: Winter Youth Retreat, 2020
PO Box 2350
Blowing Rock, NC
That’s it! If you need to update your registration, send an email with changes needed, and an updated spreadsheet attached. If you need to send additional registration fees, please send a 2nd check. We will issue refunds the weekend of the retreat before you leave Monday.
The Service Project and Snow Activites
Indicate on your registration spreadsheet that you are interested in a service activity on Sunday of the retreat and we’ll be in touch about numbers and activities as the event gets closer. Your whole group doesn’t need to participate in the service activity, but you need to arrange transportation and adult supervision for any youth who will participate. We hope to partner with organizations that address local health, food, education, and housing needs.
On Sunday, skiing, snowboarding, and other snow activities are available around Blowing Rock and Boone, but they are not organized through WYR or Blowing Rock Conference Center. Group leaders should contact local ski companies for rates and activities (including tubing locations). Here are some local places groups have used in the past.
