We can't wait to see you in January! Registration will be offered online or using the paper forms, but it's not open yet. We'll keep you updated.
The fee for 2021 is $200 per participant (this includes youth, chaperones, and your group’s leader) provided your payment is postmarked by the registration deadline of 12/15/2020. After the registration deadline the fee increases to $215 per participant.
We do not want the uncertainty of the COVID epidemic to be a factor in your decision to register for WYR 2021. We rely on your timely registration in order to make final preparations for the retreat - room assignments, meal planning, small group planning, etc. In the unfortunate circumstance that we must cancel WYR 2021 due to COVID related concerns, we will refund any payments made or apply those payments toward WYR 2022.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE COST?
Rooms - Rooms at Blowing Rock Conference Center are booked based on the number of beds in the room. Room requests can be made on the registration spreadsheet, but there are only so many rooms of each kind. When you send payment for your registered group, it puts you in line for your room requests which will be filled on a first come first served basis. You will receive your room assignments when you arrive.
Meals - Three meals Saturday, breakfast and dinner Sunday, and breakfast on Monday. Each group will need to plan for Lunch on Sunday.
Service Project and Snow Activites
Indicate on your registration spreadsheet that you are interested in a service activity on Sunday of the retreat and we’ll be in touch about numbers and activities as the event gets closer. Your whole group doesn’t need to participate in the service activity, but you need to arrange transportation and adult supervision for any youth who will participate. We hope to partner with organizations that address local health, food, education, and housing needs.
On Sunday, skiing, snowboarding, and other snow activities are available around Blowing Rock and Boone, but they are not organized through WYR or Blowing Rock Conference Center. Group leaders should contact local ski companies for rates and activities (including tubing locations). Here are some local places groups have used in the past.
